Handy-Signatur app becomes A-Trust Signature app

The "Handy-Signatur App", which is well-known among Handy-Signatur users and represents a secure option for triggering a second factor for authentication to sign using Handy-Signatur or ID Austria, has now been renamed "A-Trust Signature".

The reason for this change is the upcoming complete switchover of the Handy-Signatur to ID Austria, which is planned for the end of 2023.

The app can still be used with Handy-Signatur and ID Austria and continues to fulfill the same function, only the permitted authentication procedures have been adjusted due to regulatory requirements. For example, it is no longer possible to sign using a QR code or push TAN and the device PIN can now be used in addition to biometric authentication such as a fingerprint scan or facial recognition instead of a separate app PIN.

It is of course still free of charge and is available for iOS and Android devices. For all existing users, the changeover is very simple via an update.
